Not a fan of muddy fields and big crowds but still want to see your favourite bands? This festival may be just for you. On Saturday, May 5 Live at Leeds will be taking place across Leeds and all the top venues are involved. Which bands are most worthy of your time?
The festival already announced appearances from The Horrors, The Vaccines, Circa Waves and Peace, but today we look at the five new bands that will be making their mark and definitely shouldn’t be missed.
No, this isn’t Macaulay Culkin singing. Yak are a noise-rock band from Wolverhampton known for their raucous live gigs.

A band every Twin Atlantic fan should know about. This three-piece indie rock band from Aberdeen will sure become your new favourite.

This Leeds-based talented trio is a definite must-see. Can this psychedelic rock band become the new Alt-J?
Where: 1:00 pm, BBC Music Introducing West Yorkshire Stage
Best Track: ‘Closet Lunatic’
A regular in Leeds, this upbeat indie rock band will play the day before the festival at Momentum Music Fund Showcase which you can attend for free. This organisation also offers grants for bands to develop their careers.

Best Track: ‘Throw Ourselves In’
The brothers from Bath are making incredibly fun indie-rock, plus they have a female drummer. Who could resist?
