December strikes could postpone busy network rail services.

Leeds and across the North weekly Saturday services could well be suspended from the 1st of December as talks between the Transport for the North, Northern Rail and the RMT union begin.
The strike action, which has seen limited Saturday services throughout the region including no service between the main hubs of Leeds and Manchester/Sheffield/Blackburn, looked set to continue into the festive period despite 30 days of walkouts already completed in 2018.

Customers are set to be disappointed by cancelled train services due to changes in rail services.

Fresh talks in hope of an agreement arrive on the back of a requirement to ensure that two-workers are on board an operating service at any one time in the interests of safety over a busy run-up to Christmas.
Events such as Sheffield United v Leeds United, Huddersfield Town v Brighton, Mumford and Sons’ concert at the First Direct Arena and the Christmas markets in both Leeds & Manchester may have significant disruption to passenger transportation.
